Mobile Point of Sale ( MPOS ) devices will account for 40 percent of all sales transaction value in 2021, compared with an estimated 12 percent in 2016, according to a new study by Juniper Research.

The research firm predicts that the use of these systems will represent one out of every three POS terminals, driven by the largest retailers that will adopt mPOS as part of a range of options.

The new research found that mPOS will enable retailers to decrease customer waiting times, develop more specific and circumstantial campaigns, and offer automatic ordering systems in restaurants.

The research firm predicts that the use of MPO systems will be responsible for more than 1 out of 3 POS terminals by 2021, boosted by larger retailers adopting mPOS as part of a series of point options sale.

But precisely because it is a nascent and emerging market in the Region, so there is a wide place for innovation, disruption and new players, according to the specialist.

In this context, the winners will be those who understand the customer in the context of their day to day, in their shopping habits.

On August 17 and 18 in Silicon Valley will be the conference and exhibition M2BANKING & FINTECH , satellite event of the successful series organized by Frecuencia Latin America, aimed primarily at banking and financial institutions in the Region
